We are a group led by BAME LGBTQ+ women dedicated to eradicating violence against BAME LGBTQ+ women. We address various forms of abuse and discrimination, including female genital mutilation, child marriage, domestic violence, and sexual violence, thereby enabling BAME LGBTQ+ women to attain the dignity, health, and equality they so rightly deserve.
At NAMOW, we emphasise personal narratives alongside broader societal contexts. Consequently, we offer support to BAME LGBTQ+ women who have been affected by violence, fostering community connections, enhancing skills and knowledge, and nurturing future leaders among BAME LGBTQ+ women. Furthermore, we strategically engage with decision-makers and practitioners, conducting community research, fostering partnerships, and creating opportunities designed to transform lives.
